1. Introduction

By using Therapists.ie (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree, you should not use the Platform.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. About the Platform

Therapists.ie is an online platform that:

  • Displays therapist profiles
  • Matches users with suitable therapists
  • Facilitates communication and booking between users and therapists

We act as an intermediary platform only and are not a provider of therapy services.

3. No Clinical Responsibility

Therapists.ie:

  • Does not provide therapy or medical services
  • Does not verify or guarantee therapist qualifications, credentials, or identity
  • Does not supervise or control therapist-client relationships

It is your responsibility to:

  • Verify therapist credentials
  • Decide whether a therapist is suitable
  • Use your own judgement before engaging

4. User Responsibilities

By using the Platform, you agree that:

  • All information you provide is accurate and truthful
  • You will use the Platform lawfully
  • You will not misuse or attempt to interfere with the Platform

You are responsible for:

  • Your communications
  • Your interactions with therapists
  • Any decisions you make based on information on the Platform

5. Enquiries and Matching

When you:

  • Submit a form
  • Complete a questionnaire
  • Contact a therapist

You agree that:

  • Your information may be shared with relevant therapists
  • Therapists may contact you directly
  • Communication may occur via the platform or externally

We do not guarantee:

  • Therapist responses
  • Availability
  • Booking outcomes

6. Bookings and Payments

Where booking functionality is available:

  • Payments may be processed via third-party providers (e.g. Stripe)
  • Therapists are responsible for delivering services
  • Therapists set their own fees, availability, and cancellation policies

Therapists.ie is not responsible for:

  • The quality of therapy sessions
  • Cancellations, rescheduling, or no-shows
  • Disputes between users and therapists

7. No Guarantee of Results

  • That you will find a suitable therapist
  • That a therapist will respond
  • That therapy outcomes will meet your expectations

8. Platform Use Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the platform for illegal or harmful purposes
  • Submit false, misleading, or abusive information
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Platform
  • Attempt to misuse or exploit the Platform

We reserve the right to suspend or remove users at our discretion.

9. Anti-Circumvention

Users and therapists agree not to bypass or attempt to bypass the Therapists.ie platform in relation to any introduction, connection, or enquiry made through the platform.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Sharing or requesting direct contact details before a booking or enquiry is completed through the platform
  • Attempting to move communication off-platform to avoid platform fees
  • Encouraging or soliciting users to engage outside of Therapists.ie following an introduction made via the platform

All initial contact, communication, and bookings arising from a connection made through Therapists.ie must take place through the platform.

Where a user and therapist connect via Therapists.ie, any resulting engagement is considered to have originated from the platform.

Therapists who receive enquiries or bookings through Therapists.ie agree not to circumvent the platform for ongoing or future sessions that originate from that connection.

We reserve the right to:

  • Monitor activity for the purpose of enforcing this clause
  • Suspend or remove accounts that breach this policy
  • Restrict access to platform features where misuse is suspected

10. Content and Listings

Therapists are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of their profiles
  • Their qualifications and claims
  • Their communications with users

We may:

  • Edit or remove content
  • Suspend or remove listings
  • Remove users without notice where necessary

11. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that:

  • Your data may be processed to provide services
  • Your information may be shared with relevant therapists

12. Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers for:

  • Hosting
  • Payments
  • Email delivery

We are not responsible for failures or issues caused by third-party services.

13. User Responsibilities

Users agree to provide accurate and complete contact information when using the Platform.

Therapists.ie is not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by users, including but not limited to misdirected communications.

14. Communications & Access

To protect user privacy, Therapists.ie may use secure, time-limited access links and verification steps for communication between users.

Users acknowledge that access to certain content may require verification and that links may expire for security reasons.

Therapists.ie reserves the right to restrict or deny access where security checks cannot be satisfied.

15. Service Availability

The Platform is provided on an:

  • “As is”
  • “As available”

basis.

We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability
  • Error-free operation
  • That all features will function without interruption

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Therapists.ie is not liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from use of the Platform
  • Interactions between users and therapists
  • Therapy outcomes or experiences
  • Data loss, service interruptions, or technical issues

17. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • You misuse the Platform
  • Your behaviour impacts other users or the platform

18. Intellectual Property

All platform content, design, and software are owned by Therapists.ie.

You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse any part without prior written permission.

19. Changes to the Service

We may:

  • Modify or remove features
  • Change services or pricing
  • Update functionality

at any time without notice.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
