My name is Dorota Tass. I'm originally from Poland but I live in Ireland for over 18 years. I have completed a Master's Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy in Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences in Limerick. I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Poland. In my work I use an integrative approach combining various elements from different theoretical models that, I choose to suit best for the client. Every person is different, has different needs, personal characteristics and experiences. I believe that providing an empathic, non judgmental approach with patience, understanding and positive regards, tailoring the therapy individually for the client to meet specific needs is an essential to build trustful therapeutic relationship. I am registered as Pre-Accredited member of Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland. I am Garda vetted and fully insured. I also offer services in Polish. I have an experience working with clients dealing with depression, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, gender identity, anxiety, addiction and working on personal development.
Approach I use an integrative approach combining various elements from different theoretical models, that I choose to suit best for the client, considering personal needs, individual characteristic, abilities and presented problems. The range of modalities in my approach include Person Cantered theory, Psychoanalytic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness. Every person has different experiences, background, spiritual believes and personal characteristics. I believe, every one of my clients should be treated with dignity and respect with an empathy and non judgmental approach.
