ADHD
HI ADHD-the common perception is that you are always hyperactive, that your scatty minded. They are only some of the symptoms that are visible, but for a person who has ADHD it is much more than these. People with ADHD experience difficulties regulating their emotions this can be confusing for them (even in adulthood) ADHD people have difficulty with the executive functioning part of their brain, so decisions are more difficult making or remembering things (especially if it doesn’t stimulate them) ADHD if left untreated or undiagnosed can cause distress or depression/anxiety or addiction. There is help, ADHD symptoms respond well to CBT & is an excellent form of treatment & also there is medication. If you are struggling with ADHD (diagnosed or not) and feel you need some help & support or guidance with the assessment procedure . And let’s begin your journey. Colm.
