While everyone experiences challenges, not everyone struggles in the same way. I strive to meet you where you are in your journey, using a variety of therapeutic approaches to support your unique needs. I am certified as a substance use therapist, certified trauma professional, trained in multiple modalities of therapy- ERP, PE, DBT, HRT, BA, CBT for Hoarding, ACT, and Mindfulness to name the most commonly used therapies for me
I believe in helping you discover your inner resilience through strength-based practices. I also work to increase awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors using mindfulness-based interventions and cognitive behavioral strategies. I honor each individual's autonomy, dignity, and worth, and bring compassion, understanding, and empathy into every session.
I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use, low self-esteem, trauma of all types, parenting challenges, and life transitions. I also strive to create a space of inclusivity and safety.
I recognize that life experiences shape us—but they don’t have to define our future. I'm here to support your journey of healing and self-discovery with respect, care, and authenticity.

Every time I hear someone describe their ideal therapist, I immediately think of Arlene. I have referred her to so many people. She is everything you'd want in a therapist. She is incredibly intelligent, funny, kind, and understanding. She opens up about herself to create a safe space and to relate back to your life. She genuinely cares about her clients and what she does. I have been seeing her for 2 and half years now and I have flourished. I have seen significant change in myself and my life. I am so grateful for her and all the work she's done with me.

I think everyone should have an Arlene in their life! I have had the privilege of working with Arlene for over a year and she always finds a way to meet my struggles with honesty and a fresh set of eyes to allow me to change my perspective on the bigger picture. Arlene is unlike any other counselor I’ve had previously. I feel safe to be myself and to ask the questions I was afraid to bring to the light. Through exposure therapy I have been able to identify the roots of my mental health struggles, reframe the lessons that I’ve learned. I truly believe that we are working to create the best version of myself. It has been a scary but rewarding experience to say the least! Through the tears, the laughter and my own occasional anger, she has shown me that it’s okay to be human. My trauma is important because it is mine, what I do with it is also my choice. She has never made me feel less than for failing to meet my own expectations. There are still lessons and challenges to be faced, but I know that she will help me learn the important lessons of how to face them head on and succeed in my own personal way.

Arlene was recommended to me by a friend when one of my siblings passed. Her compassion, professionalism and knowledge helped me navigate my grief healthfully. I’ve been working with her ever since. I work in a career where we deal with a lot of traumatic events and having her guidance has helped me maintain a healthy mind and balanced life for myself and my family. She’s a great asset to me and would be to anyone seeking her services.

Initially I was extremely nervous going into therapy, it’s scary being so vulnerable with someone you’ve never met. But I’m glad I made the decision to go, at first it’s hard to notice progress but over time I look back and see how much I’ve changed/healed. Therapy was probably one of the best decisions I've made and I’m extremely grateful to Arlene for how much she’s helped me navigate my OCD.
