About Me

I offer somatic movement therapy online and in London. I have two years experience as a yoga teacher, breath work practitioner and recently started giving somatic therapy in person in Brixton.

Experience

Integrative Therapist for 1 years

I am a somatic therapist in training. I have been offering one to one sessions for 6 months now.
Here are some of my clients testimonials:

“Doing somatic therapy with Suhad has been the exact kind of healing in the body-mind connection I needed. Working with Suhad helped to alleviate a lot of chronic pains I had which I know are mind and nervous system related. I can’t say enough in words about this work “magic”. Somatic therapy is the ultimate kind of therapy for when we are ready to really work through our inner blocks and move beyond the old pains that no longer serve us.”

The combination of Suhad’s gentle personality and powerful skills have been very helpful for me! I signed up to ten sessions with Suhad and eagerly look forward to each session despite knowing that healing work is never “fun” but therapy with her feels so good and freeing afterwards when you commit to it.”

"My journey with somatic therapy sessions with Suhad has been a good journey so far. I find the pace and the depth of the sessions very good. Suhad offers a variety between deep work and less intense depending on what supports me and I appreciate that. The weekly nature has been really helpful to address topics that are alive for me right now. I am starting to feel that there is something emerging in the last couple of weeks and I'm sure the sessions are part of that."

Approach

I use a gentle approach to bring the client into the body's landscape and explore what is untold.
My aim is to allow the client to land into a safe space where they can start deep listening to what the body has to say or hold.

I observe the body posture, gesture, and movement, and use that to go deeper into the body.

As a therapist I use a combination of bodywork, inner body dialogue, and movement to explore what needs to be brought into awareness. The goal is to bring new possibilities to ways of beings different from survival or freeze to move towards thriving in life. What I work with are:
The polyvagal theory of the nervous system.
Mind body cantering approach to movement
Body work and movement repatterining protects

I take time with each client, meeting them where they are and arriving with them to a more integrated sense of self.
If you are tired of living in survival states with anxiety and panic present in your every day life and want to move to a more regulated and relational state of being that is balanced and harmonious with you, please reach out.
