David is a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). He achieved a Distinction in his B.Sc.(Hons) degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. He also holds a B.A.(Mod) in Business Studies and Economics from Trinity College and an M.Sc. in Business Finance which preceded a 25-year career as a Trader in the Financial Markets, working in Investment Banks and Fund Management.
David welcomes clients with his kindness, warmth, humour, and insight, prioritising the therapeutic relationship, through mutual respect and the building of trust. David’s approach is mainly humanistic, including personal experience, potential, responsibility, and meaning in one’s life.
He has experience working with grief, intimate partner violence (domestic abuse), suicide bereavement, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, issues with eating and issues with sexuality.
