Marie has been qualified as a psychotherapist since 2015. She worked for 9 years in Pieta, working with individuals aged 12 and over who are engaging in self-harm, are experiencing suicidal ideation and those bereaved by suicide. Additionally, she has 25 years experience of working with vulnerable children in foster care, and their families. More recently Marie has worked providing emotional support to adults who were adopted as babies and birth parents who for whatever reason relinquished babies for adoption.
Marie understands that reaching out for support can be very difficult. She believes that treating people with kindness, patience and respect can help put them at their ease. Marie provides a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can focus on the areas of their lives where they need support.

Marie qualified as a psychotherapist in 2015. She worked in Pieta for 9 years; working with clients aged 12 and over. These clients were either engaging in self-harm, were experiencing suicidal ideation or were bereaved by suicide. Marie is also experienced at providing support to parents of adolescents who are experiencing self-harm and suicidal ideation.
Marie has a private practice working with clients over the age of 12 with various difficulties, including trauma, child abuse, anxiety, bereavement, adoption issues, poor school attendance, separation issues among others.
Marie has worked for 2.5 years with adults who were adopted as babies and also women who relinquished their babies for adoption.
Marie worked therapeutically for 25 years with children who were in foster care and their families.
Approach As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I care about helping my clients to identify their problems and assist them to find the best ways to cope with these problems. The problems clients have may be significantly impacting their lives and relationships.
I offer a safe, non judgmental space and use compassion, authenticity and empathy to support my clients. I believe that everyone is unique and I tailor my approach based on each client’s individual needs, drawing from these therapeutic approach; Integrative, Client Centred, CBT, Choice Theory and Trauma Informed Psychotherapy.
When suitable / requested I offer creative materials to support my clients to explore, to process and gain a deeper understanding of themselves.

Initial contact.
Marie offers a feee 15 / 20 session to help establish if she is the right fit for clients. This time is generally agreed between both parties after initial contact.
Garda Clearance
Marie is fully Garda Cleared.
Mandated reporting
As a psychotherapist Marie is mandated to report child abuse to the relevant authorities.
