About Me

Welcome, my name is Maggie.
As a teenager I attended counselling and found it so helpful that I went on to train as a counsellor. I had experienced grief, unhealthy relationships and anxiety. I understand needing support but unsure about seeking counselling and can now say it was the best decision I could have made.

I work with adults experiencing challenges such as Anxiety and Depression, Relationship difficulties, Personal Development, Life changes, Bereavement and Trauma

My goal is to support others especially when going through difficult patches. I have experienced many of those times and having come through them helps me to better me to support others. .

Approach

My approach to counselling is integrative so I use a variety to suit each person I see - one type of approach does not fit everyone.
I concentrate on with what you can tell me about yourself, your experiences and your history, to uncover the roots of your current experiences.
My aim is to provide an opportunity to explore feelings, beliefs and behaviours and to identify areas for change.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Counselling and Psychotherapy

    "I've been attending sessions online with Maggie since November and have found the experience really positive. I find that Maggie has genuinely listened to me and I feel so supported when talking through my issues, all without judgement. The sessions with her have helped me navigate my way through some difficult personal situations, and the practices and techniques that she uses have been so helpful in and really practical to use in everyday life.     I have been working with Maggie since early 2022 when I was going through some personal issues and had just had a new baby. Maggie was so supportive to me even if she was just listening to me, it made me feel heard and valued. The techniques she has used with me have really helped me understand and overcome issues I was having. She has also given me so many helpful tips to deal with daily struggles and confrontational situations I have been in. I recommend Maggie's counselling services to anyone who is having a bit of a tough time. I have really came on leaps and bounds in my life since I started counselling and it is all down to how helpful Maggie has been to me. I am forever grateful.
