About Me

I am a pre-accredited Psychotherapist with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). I trained as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor with Cork Counselling Services Training Institute. In my role as a counsellor I have worked in student counselling and also in primary care.

Experience

Psychotherapeutic Counsellor for 2 years

I have over 2 years of working as a student and pre-accredited counsellor therapist in both student counselling and in a primary care setting.

Approach

My approach is humanistic integrative and I use a person-centred model which views you the client as the expert in their life. I have experience working with parenting difficulties, disability, relationship difficulties, ageing, stress, anxiety, loneliness, trauma, bereavement and depression. Together we can explore what’s been happening in your life that made you feel the need for support. I work within the ethical framework of the IACP and under The Children First Act (2015) and have Garda clearance.

Qualification

My qualifications include:
BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy (CCSTI/Coventry)
Doctorate in Philosophy of Arts
H Dip in Adult and Community Education
MA and BA in Psychology
