About

My name is Claudia O'Keeffe I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I specialise in working with adults and adolescents. I offer in person appointments in the City Centre and also Midleton and I also offer online appointments.
I have spent almost 3 years working in a community based low cost counselling centre, working with a range of issues such as complex trauma, grief, depression, anxiety to name but a few.
I have many years experience in Youth Diversion, Youth Advocacy, Domestic Violence and Complex Trauma.
I believe whole heartedly in a person's ability to change, grow, and to find ease and peace in their lives. I have had both the pleasure and the privilege to see this time and time again.

BSc (HONS) in Counselling and Psychotherapy
Experience
4+ years in Psychotherapy
Over two years experience working as a trainee Counsellor and Psychotherapist at a low cost community based Counselling Centre.
Experience working with a domestic violence project providing vital support to women, and visiting schools to raise awareness of healthy and unhealthy relationships.
Many years working in the youth work field, youth diversion field and the youth advocacy sector.
Several years working with complex issues facing young people in residential care units and the foster care system.
Experience working with complex trauma cases such as the recent scoping enquiry into the abuse in private schools.
Approach I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I am also qualified to work with Adolescents.
I work both in person and online.
Continual professional development is very important to me in my practice to ensure I am working to the highest standards and offering the best care to my clients.
