Qualifications & Experience

Qualification I have a BSc Hons. in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also an Accredited Member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
ExperienceI completed my placement hours at PCI Low Cost Counselling Service where I spent two years working with adults both in-person sessions and online. I work mainly in Private Practice where I assist clients with varying issues such as low mood/depression; anxiety; stress; bereavement/loss and grief; disability, bullying, conflict, chronic illness; family issues, life transitions; low self-esteem, relationship issues; trauma; panic, social anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); self-harm and suicide ideation.
Approach My personal philosophy of counselling is rooted in the integration of person-centred therapy, psychoanalytic theory, existential and cognitive behavioral therapy. I aim to build a trusting relationship with each client in order for the client to be able to explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviours, personal issues to help develop growth and healing. I work collaboratively with each client, tailoring my approach to meet the client's needs and provide tools and strategies to help clients make positive change, heal and reach their full potential.
