I am an organisational psychologist based in Dublin, where I live with my wife and family. My background is small and medium enterprise where I owned and operated a business for 20+ years. My entry into psychology came about through personal challenge, and today, my professional life involves helping people navigate their challenges in work and life. I provide support to people seeking clarity and direction in their work and to those who may be suffering stress, anxiety and depression related to career, business, or general life challenges.
I am a work and business psychologist and development coach with 25 years business ownership experience. I achieved my honours BA degree in psychology from Dublin Business School and Masters in Organisational Psychology from Dublin City University. I am a registered Psychometric Test User with the British Psychological Society, and I am trained in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (M9914), and I hold professional indemnity insurance with OBF Insurances, Baggot Street, Dublin. My professional focus is on helping individuals and organisations find clarity and direction in their work.
I take a person-centric approach to coaching and therapy, informed by extensive education and training in both psychoanalysis and traditional psychological methodologies. This means that my practice is rooted in understanding each individual as a unique person with their own set of experiences, needs, and goals. In one-on-one sessions, I focus on creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. I use psychoanalytic techniques to help uncover unconscious patterns that may be influencing behaviour and emotions. Combined with evidence-based psychological strategies such as Positive Psychology, I aim to help clients develop positive change, personal growth and the means to cope with the challenges of life.

I specialise in helping clients develop the means to cope with the challenges of work and business, although this often extends to the challenges of personal life
Yes, I work with people who may be either goal-oriented or feeling overworked and burned out.
It really depends on the client. Sessions are weekly, and it usually takes several weeks for clients to settle in and form a meaningful working relationship. I suggest a couple of sessions to begin with, and if you feel we can work together, then we can continue.
Yes. I can deliver custom or preset workshops to organisations and businesses either remotely over Zoom or in person at your place of business. If your organisation cannot facilitate training, I can arrange a space on request.
One-to-one sessions are 30 mins or 60 mins but may go on longer if necessary
My role in the relationship is to facilitate change in you, and in doing so, you begin to discover the answers you have been looking for. You have the solution, my role is to help you find it.
The primary method we use is conversation. Through dialogue, you discover the answers to burning questions. Occasionally, I may ask clients to complete psychometric assessments such as a personality inventory or a self-report measure, to help me understand a little more about the client. I take a person-centric approach and rely of methods from psychoanalysis, humanistic therapies, cognitive behavioural therapies, and positive psychology.
