About Me
I offer an empathic and confidential online psychotherapy and counselling service for improving mental health,overcoming emotional challenges, dealing with relationship issues and nourishing personal growth.
I work from an integrative framework as no two clients are the same and I am also trained in CBT so can include that in sessions when it is appropriate.
I work with issues such as Stress, Anxiety, Anger, Low Self Esteem, Domestic Abuse, Relationships, Sexuality and Spirituality, Self-Compassion, Personal growth and Wellness.
Experience
Psychotherapy for 3 years
I worked with Genesis Psychotherapy from October 2021 until August 2023 and with VCS from November 2021 until May 2022. I am also currently with 2getheronline since February 2024 so have close to 3 years experience working with clients on a range of issues including Anxiety, Stress, Anger, low self-esteem, relationships, domestic abuse, sexuality, spirituality, self-compassion and personal growth and healing.
I worked with a diverse range of adult clients both men and women from a variety of cultural backgrounds and sexual expressions and living situations.
Approach
I work with an empathic style of relating to clients and I bring in elements of choice theory and CBT where appropriate to help explore and examine thoughts, feelings and behaviours of clients up until now and how we might try new behaviours or thoughts and other strategies for managing symptoms, recovering from symptoms and for exploring personal life goals and growth toward healing and more fulfilling relationships and a more fulfilling life.
I integrate Person Centre Therapy as I believe fostering an empathic working relationship with the client offers the best chance of recovery and growth and for building the trust necessary for the client to also be able to begin trust themselves more and move toward the life that they want.
Qualification
I obtained a BSc in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from IICP in Killinarden and subsequently certificates in CBT and Gender Sexuality Relationship Diversity both from PCI college and QQI accredited.
