My name is Esther, a qualified psychotherapist and IACP member. I offer a warm, supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and just be yourself.
My approach is integrative; this means that I draw from different therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, Choice/Reality Therapy, attachment-informed and trauma-informed work, depending on what feels most helpful for you. I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to the person, not a one-size-fits-all process.
I support adults navigating anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship and family difficulties, bereavement and loss, trauma, life transitions and times when life simply feels difficult to make sense of. My background of over 10 years in social care has also given me experience supporting people from diverse backgrounds and with different life experiences.
I believe that meaningful change can begin with small, intentional steps. My aim is to help you better understand yourself, build confidence and develop ways of coping that feel right for you.
I see clients in person at my rooms in Oldcastle, Co. Meath. I also work with clients virtually via online platforms like Teams and Zoom; this best suits clients who cannot commute to in-person session in Oldcastle.

Experience
3+ years in Integrative Therapist
I have over ten years’ experience working in social care and mental health across residential and day services, mainstream children’s placement services and community-based support. I’ve worked with people experiencing a wide range of life circumstances, including neurodiversity, developmental mental health needs, family difficulties, and significant life transitions.
As a psychotherapist, I have worked with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, bereavement and loss, relationship and family difficulties, work-related stress, low self-esteem and confidence, and challenges that can leave people feeling overwhelmed or stuck. In my private practice, I offer individual psychotherapy and counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space.
Approach Sometimes people come to therapy knowing something doesn't feel right, but aren't quite sure where to begin. It might be an issue that has become difficult to manage, struggling to process, or simply a sense that you've become stuck and don't know how to move forward.
I work eclectically, drawing from a variety of therapeutic approaches to suit the individual rather than expecting one approach to work for everyone. I am integrative-trained in humanistic and behavioural modalities. I utilise evidence-based tools to measure and support therapeutic progress.
For me, therapy is about creating a space where you can feel heard without judgement and have the time to make sense of what you're experiencing. We will explore your thought and relationship patterns while building practical tools for self-understanding, confidence, and resilience
