I offer online appointments that includes evenings and Saturday mornings, for those that find it hard to find time. I work with a variety of issues including Stress, Anxiety, Lack of Confidence, and Life Changes. I have a particular interest in working with Anxiety, Chronic Pain, and those within the LGBTQIA+ community. Online therapy can offer a lot of flexibility, meaning you avoid traffic, parking, and travel times. It also allows me to charge a little less. Sometimes we need a bit of extra support. Having someone to talk to without fear of judgement can make a huge difference during a difficult time.
I offer Person-Centred Therapy which believes we all have the ability to change. It’s about having a nurturing environment where you will feel heard. I also offer Somatic Therapy which looks at why our body reacts the way it does to our emotions and offers resources to help soothe your nervous system.
Even the fact that you’re considering counselling is proof that you want something to be change! Reach out, and ask any questions you have, and see if you would like to work with me.

Experience
4+ years in Counselling
I had my student placement with the Donegal Women's Centre's Community Counselling Service. There I worked mostly with women over the age of 18 who came with a variety of issues like Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Bereavement, Life Changes, and Relationship Issues.
I then started working with their Domestic Violence Counselling Service in early 2024. This worked much more closely with Trauma and Abuse, and helping building clients' confidence back up again.
I also volunteered with the ALONE service which works with older people dealing with living alone and in isolation. I also co-facilitated a Minding Mums programme, which worked with new mums and explored the difficulties around the life change.
Approach Person-Centered Therapy - the core conditions of a person-centred therapist is to be empathetic, genuine, and accepting without conditions. It’s a talking therapy that sees the client as the expert. I’m not going to make assumptions about your life, or tell you what to do when I don’t know your full story. It’s about giving you a supportive space to untangle the knots in your head so you can see the best path forward. No one knows you better than you!
Somatic Therapy - this is about the connection between our emotions and our body. Maybe when you’re feeling nervous you feel fluttering in your tummy, or when you’re in an argument your legs shake. This is about learning how your body reacts to emotions and how we can ease that if it’s not serving you. This might involve doing some exercises like breathing techniques or bringing in tools to sooth your senses.
I mostly work with Person-Centered Therapy, but will bring in Somatic Therapy when it feels appropriate, but only if the client is willing to give it a try.
