About

I'm a counsellor who works with both neurodivergent and neuro typical clients, and at the heart of my work is creating a space where people feel safe, understood, and able to be themselves. I know that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, so I aim to make the process feel as comfortable and human as possible. My approach is warm, flexible, and neurodiversity- informed. I don't believe in a one size fits all way of working, and I'm mindful that everyone experiences the world differently. Whether someone is neurodivergent or neurotypical, I work at their pace and in a way that feels right for them, not what therapy is supposed to look like.
I've worked in a range of different settings, including schools, private practice, mental health charities, and community organisations. This experience has helped me develop a grounded ,practical understanding of mental health, family dynamics, and the everyday challenges people face. I've supported individuals through mental health recovery, worked with families in the community, and facilitated supportive group spaces, always with a focus on compassion, respect and collaboration.
I see counselling as a relationship built on trust, curiosity, and empathy here to walk alongside you as you make sense of what's going on and find ways forward that feel manageable and meaningful for you.

Experience
10++ years in Counselling
I have worked as a counsellor across a range of settings, supporting individuals and families with diverse experiences , needs , and challenges. This has given me a broad and grounded understanding of mental health, wellbeing, and the importance of meeting people where they are.
I have experience working in schools, where I supported children and young people with emotional wellbeing, mental health, and life challenges, often working alongside families and staff to create a supportive and understanding environment.

Alongside this I have worked in private practise, offering one to one counselling in a confidential , client centred setting. This work has allowed me to support both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients with a wide range of issues, always tailoring my approach to the individual.
I also work with a mental health charity, where I support people experiencing mental health difficulties and distress. As part of this role I work as a mental health recovery facilitator for SHINE supporting individuals in their recovery journey, promoting hope, empowerment, and connection, and helping people build confidence and coping strategies at their own pace.

In addition I have worked as a project worker with Youghal Family Resource Initiative supporting families within the community. This role involved working closely with families to provide emotional support, practical guidance, and a safe space to explore challenges , with a strong focus on collaboration, inclusion, and respect.
Across all my roles, I bring warmth, empathy, and a belief in peoples strengths. My varied experience allows me to work flexibly and sensitively, adapting my approach to suit different settings, ages and needs.
Approach I work with both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients, and my aim is to offer a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I don't believe there's a right way to think, feel, or experience the world, and I'm always guided by what works best for you as an individual.

My approach is neurodiversity - informed , which means I see neurodivergence as a natural part of human diversity rather than something that needs to be fixed. I'm mindful of how often people feel pressure to mask, adapt, or explain themselves, and i work to create a therapeutic relationship where you don't have to do that. Your welcome to show up just as you are.

I adapt the way I work to suit your needs, whether that means going at your pace, being clear and direct, allowing space for thinking things through, or being flexible with how sessions look and feel. I see therapy as something we do together , not something that's done to you.
At the heart of my work is warmth, curiosity, and respect. Together we can explore what's been going on for you , make sense of your experiences , and gently work towards change in a way that feels manageable and meaningful for you.
