About

I am a Chartered Health Psychologist and I work with adolescents and adults, enabling them reframe and utilise their strengths in creating positive outcomes. As a health psychologist, I focus on the interplay between physical and mental health and explore how thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and social factors influence overall well-being. I have many years experience in working with people with learning difficulties, and with people who are neurodiverse. I also specialise in working with adolescents and adults with eating disorders.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualification I am a Chartered Health Psychologist, and Associate Fellow, with the British Psychological Society. I am also a Chartered Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland.

I hold an MSc in Counselling Psychology from Trinity College, Dublin, an MSc in Health Psychology from Sheffield Hallam University, and a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology from the University of the West of England in Bristol.
Experience
10++ years in Psychologist
I am a Chartered Health Psychologist and have experience in working with a diverse population of adults and adolescents with a diverse range of issues including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, emotional dysregulation, and chronic illness. I also specialise in working with people with eating disorders (I work with a dietitian who specialises in eating disorders), with people with chronic health conditions (I currently do contractual work with the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association) and with people who are neurodiverse.

Approach I am a practical person and understand that each person's experience is unique to that person. What is common to us all is the fact that how we think, how we feel, and how we behave are interwoven factors and this is why I take a CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) approach to working with each person.
