My name is Phil, I am a Psychotherapist offering both in-person and online appointments to support individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.
I hold a B.A. (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy; I also hold a B.A. (Hons) in Social Care. I have years of experience of working with people suffering with addiction, homelessness, trauma and grief and loss.
I am committed to providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental therapeutic environment where clients can explore their experiences and work towards meaningful personal growth.

Qualification B.A. (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy: Munster Technological University (MTU) 2021 - 2024
B.A. (Hons) Applied Social Studies in Social Care: Carlow College 2008-2012
Experience
6+ years in Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
I have worked as a counsellor in a further education college, working with students who presented with Anxiety, ADHD, Autism and Trauma.
I have also worked as a counsellor in a nursing home, supporting families of people living with Dementia and Alzheimer's.
I have many years of experience of working with people in early recovery from substance and behavioural addiction. I have worked as both a facilitator and addiction counsellor in this area.
As well as having a private practice, I also work as an addiction counsellor and psychotherapist for MQI, based in the Irish Prison Service.
Approach My therapeutic approach is person-centred and integrative, tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Drawing on trauma-informed, attachment-based, and inner child approaches, I work collaboratively with clients to develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
