About

As a brain‑based practitioner, I draw on contemporary neuroscience to understand how the brain and nervous system shape our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships. I focus on the nervous‑system patterns shaped by stress, alongside the sensory, cognitive, and relational experiences common within neurodiversity.
A safe, trustworthy connection is essential for deep work. If this resonates with you, I welcome you to reach out. We can chat about what you're looking for and see if we're a good fit.

Experience
10++ years in Psychotherapy
In 2019, I established ‘Ceartig Therapies’ as a creative therapeutic service where children, young people, and parents can make use of resources provided to work on vulnerabilities, alleviate stresses, and grow emotional strength. Since then, I have continued to add to my training and professional knowledge to improve my practice and to cater for neurodivergent individuals, and clients of all ages.

Adults may choose either in-person or online Integrative Psychotherapy. For teens, I offer Creative Counselling or Expressive Arts Therapy, and I provide Play Therapy for primary-school children.

I'm a graduate member of PSI (The Psychological Society of Ireland) and an accredited psychotherapist with APCP (Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland). As a member of these professional organizations, I conscientiously uphold the ethical principles set out by each, ensuring that my professional practice aligns with the highest standards of confidentiality and client well-being in all my interactions.
Approach As a neurodivergent individual myself, I work with neurodivergent clients because I deeply understand sensory profiles, environmental impacts, and the lived experience of navigating a world not built for our nervous systems. I offer attuned, neuro‑affirming support that honours each person’s unique way of being. For children, I provide Play Therapy; for teens, Creative Counselling; and for adults, a collaborative process. Drawing from diverse therapeutic modalities, I tailor each session to your unique needs, helping you make sense of your experiences and move toward meaningful change.

★★★★★★
Really great experience with Marie at Ceartig. My son was suffering huge anxiety when he commenced preschool. I started taking him once per week to Marie. The environment was very calm & relaxing and he took to Marie's positive and warm and reassuring personality immediately.He enjoyed these weekly play therapy sessions and they helped him to regulate and destress alot which helped with preschool and also external pressures he faced as he was growing. It made a big difference for us and I'm eternally grateful to Marie for her professional and personal support during that time in our lives.
