Issues that often come up in counselling are stress, relationship issues, family difficulties, general and social anxiety, panic attacks, depression, bullying, abuse / assault, self-esteem issues, loneliness, bereavement and loss, racism, workplace issues, redundancy, retirement and life stage difficulties such as age, parenthood, new lifestyle adjustment.

Often people attend counselling where they feel the need to talk to someone in confidence, or they have personal development goals and wish to have somebody to help them go through the process.

Approach

My main focus is person centred, yet using an integrated / eclectic approach drawing on many therapies, dependant on the person and the issues they are presenting with.

I feel that everybody that comes to me is unique, as are their issues, and as such require a tailored approach that most suits their needs.


Qualification

My relevant qualifications include:
BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy
Certificate in Child and Adolescent Counselling & Psychotherapy

In accordance with the accrediting body IACP, I engage in continual professional development.

With a background in business with relevant qualifications to MBs level in Business, and many years’ experience, I also feel well placed to work with people facing the issues pertinent to the workplace.

Qualified since 2017 and accredited since 2019, I also offer Psychotherapy Student Counselling.

As an accredited Counsellor I have completed a satisfactory garda vetting process with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and adhere to their ethical and professional code of practice.
